„55 years – love in art“

In this special exhibition concept, EL MORA presents around 30 of his works from the years 1969 to 2024.

The early years were characterized by experiments in various styles, eventually leading to the cubist figures. The influence of Picasso and African art always played a significant role.

The ink drawings are defined by clear contours, while the oil paintings were characterized by a predominant blue background and brown figures inspired by African art.

Over time, the forms evolved into a gentler aesthetic, as seen in “Nicole.” The year 1975 produced a fascinating series of surrealist works.

During his time in Palm Beach from 1995, EL MORA focused on the radical reduction of body forms to almost abstract line figures.

From 2010, the artistic journey continued with colorful masterpieces, with portraits and female nudes taking center stage.

Towards the end of the 2020s, the minimalist figures reappeared, this time in impressively transformed forms. The cubist figures of the 70s also reappear in EL MORA’s works.
